An exciting opportunity has arisen to be a Senior Officer within School Professional Services at GCU, working to support the Glasgow School for Business and Society. Working in conjunction with the Associate Academic Registrar and another Senior Officer, the role will directly lead a team of approximately 12 staff, including programme co-ordinators and programme administrators.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential for the role, as well as the ability to provide expert guidance and advice to staff (academic and professional support) and students. Being agile to the needs of the team is particularly important, as well as the requirement to understand the systems, procedures and processes in place, both to help convey complex information, as well as identifying systems and process improvements.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in SPS and wider across the University Directorates in a collegiate manner, sharing best practice and lending support to others during periods of peak processing.
