We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke Therapy Team here at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. The successful candidate will provide a range of specialised OT interventions to patients with a variety of neurological conditions, enabling them to maximise their independence. The post holder is an autonomous practitioner but will work under the supervision of a Band 7 OT team lead.
The Therapy department is committed to providing an environment of excellent professional growth. We hold daily team huddles and regular departmental meetings, ensuring effective communication within the teams. We have dedicated CDP time, regular performance reviews, and service development projects across the bands. Supervision is highly regarded within the department as a method of ensuring all staff are supported in their professional development and career progression. Furthermore, the department has a structured in-service training programme alongside monthly Band 6 peer support meetings.
Our department operates an integrated therapy service, where Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists work alongside each other in each of the clinical areas.
