You will use your leadership abilities as a Senior Nurse (General) at a Barchester care facility to ensure that our residents receive the high-quality care for which we are renowned. Our residents with a variety of mental and physical challenges will look to you as a hands-on clinical leader who establishes a secure and encouraging atmosphere. From evaluating a new resident’s requirements to putting safeguarding measures into place and administering medications in accordance with NMC guidelines, you will use your professional judgement to make crucial clinical decisions. Among your many duties, you will assist and guide your team to ensure they have the clinical experience necessary to provide the best possible nursing care. As a Senior Nurse (General), you will be genuinely appreciated and acknowledged for your work, and you will have the freedom and autonomy to accomplish things the right way.
You must be a Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC registration and a mentoring or supervision certification in order to work with us as a Senior Nurse (General). Up-to-date knowledge of the latest clinical techniques and experience creating treatment plans and thorough risk assessments are crucial. Additionally, knowledge of regulatory systems, such as DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical recommendations, will be sought after. As someone who has worked with senior citizens and served as a clinical mentor, including helping newly qualified nurses during their preceptorship, you will naturally be a leader and problem solver. You will be resilient, driven, and ambitious, and you will have a proven track record of making improvements to provide high-quality care.
