Senior NGS Research Scientist

Our client is a leading provider of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions to support the ongoing development of genetic-based medicine. An opportunity has now become available for an experienced NGS scientist to join the company and support with the product development projects within their NGS platforms.

The role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

1. Acting as technical lead on R&D projects for the improvement and development of NGS assays
2. Oversee project delivery, outlining practical resources, delivery criteria and milestones
3. Deliver project results and present data through internal and external meetings

Suitable applicants:

1. Research and/or Postdoctoral experience focussed on NGS development, including troubleshooting and validation, for commercial applications.
2. Proven experience performing R&D projects, with clear evidence of managing timelines and deliverables
3. Educated to PhD in Genomics/Molecular Biology (or equivalent experience)
4. Deep knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing
5. Good commercial acumen with understanding of product pipelines
