As the Senior National Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with key retail partners, driving sales growth, and aligning commercial strategies with business objectives. You will collaborate closely with teams across the business, including supply chain, product development (NPD), and trade marketing, to ensure the smooth execution of projects and product launches. Your role will involve analysing market trends and consumer behaviour to shape effective sales strategies and expand the company’s presence in both domestic and international markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Retailer Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, ensuring alignment between their objectives and our brand strategy.
Stay informed of retail partners’ goals, category plans, and competitive landscape to help shape future strategies and ensure that opportunities are maximised.
Provide insights into upcoming retailer initiatives, events, and market changes, and use this information to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
Address retailer requests and competitor actions swiftly, prioritising key opportunities to achieve sales targets.
Proactively identify new opportunities for growth within each retailer, adapting strategies to ensure mutual success.
Brand and Market Knowledge:
Have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s brand strategies and consumer profiles across various retailers.
Utilise market insights to adjust commercial plans and support the business’s growth objectives.
Stay ahead of industry trends and ensure retail partners are kept informed of new product developments, market shifts, and consumer behaviour changes.
Regularly update internal teams on key trends, consumer insights, and opportunities within your accounts.
Account Growth and Sales:
Develop strategic sales plans that drive growth and profitability, ensuring targets are met across key accounts.
Proactively monitor performance against goals, identifying any gaps in sales and implementing solutions to address them.
Lead efforts to secure new key accounts and establish strong relationships with emerging retail partners.
Plan and present innovative initiatives to enhance business performance, working across trade marketing, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to support timely product launches and promotional campaigns, ensuring retailer satisfaction.
Collaborative Working:
Work with the supply chain team to ensure accurate forecasting and stock management, adapting plans as required.
Liaise with the NPD team to secure product samples and coordinate the timeline for new product launches.
Collaborate with the Trade Marketing team to execute impactful campaigns and in-store activities.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience as a Sales Account Manager, ideally within the beauty or cosmetics industry.
Proven experience in building and managing relationships with retail partners to drive sales in line with company goals.
Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of profit and loss management.
A self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and excellent attention to detail.
Passionate about the beauty industry and up to date with the latest trends and market movements.
A team player, able to work cross-functionally with supply chain, NPD, and marketing teams.
Experience managing new product launches and promotional planning, with a track record of delivering successful results.
