WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Senior Motion Designer at Mayda, you will lead projects and work closely with our in-house creative and production team to execute on a variety of creative briefs. We’re looking for After Effects designers who have a passion for 2D design and animation, incorporating typography, augmenting footage and bringing graphic design to life.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Comfortable conceptualizing complex ideas into a digestible visual vocabulary.
2. Demonstrated ability with exploring look-development for incoming briefs and pitches.
3. Proven ability creating project-winning visuals and concepts for incoming briefs and pitches.
4. Create high-quality 2D animations.
5. Act as the professional, client facing artist on projects as/when required.
6. Work closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced studio environment.
7. Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and apply best practices to enhance creative output.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. 4+ years of design studio experience.
2. Advanced knowledge of After Effects as well as the Adobe suite.
3. Working knowledge and/or interest in other industry tools such as Cavalry, Cinema 4D and Premier is favorable.
4. Working knowledge and/or interest in incorporating AI tools into new and original workflows is also highly favorable.
5. Proven understanding of design and motion principles – typography, composition, color, texture, pacing, etc.
6. Detail oriented and comfortable providing project updates as well as seek team/lead creative feedback.
7. Comfortable managing through influence and juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Comfortable working in a rapidly growing, collaborative company environment.
9. Have a comprehensive portfolio showcasing 2D design and animation work.
