Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Umbraco Web Developer to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us in a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,600 to £64,400 per annum.
Key duties and responsibilities of our Senior / Midweight Umbraco Web Developer:
- Lead on the back-end design and development of Human Appeal's website using Umbraco (version 10), including:
- Development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database.
- Ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front and back-end teams, responsible for creating quality, manageable, high performing code.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Systems and Development Teams on impact assessments, cross functional workshops and decision-making in relation to technology choices, design considerations, user experience and strategy implementation to address the business's needs.
- Improve the user journey and experience on Human Appeal's website in order to acquire, convert and retain supporters.

What we're looking for in our Senior / Midweight Umbraco Web Developer:
- Proficient in Umbraco (version 10 or above) with previous experience of developing solutions on the Umbraco platform.
- Full stack development experience, with at least 5 years' experience in back-end technologies (C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web API), as well as strong knowledge of front-end (HTML/CSS and JS).
- Background in web development and familiarity with the full lifecycle of a web project, from technical planning to front-end and back-end development.
- Experience with all parts of Umbraco, including routing, custom property editors, content finders and URL providers.
- Experience in refactoring and optimization of code for performance; implementing business process automation; structured testing and quality assurance approaches, and delivering projects involving in-house resources and third-party suppliers.
- Passionate about international development work and humanitarian aid.
