An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced medical photographer to be part of a new clinical photography service, initially supporting the Dermatology medical specialty (Teledermoscopy).
The BCUHB Medical Illustration Service is managed through the Medical Physics Dept, part of the Diagnostics & Specialist Clinical Support pan-North Wales Service.
It is anticipated that the successful applicant will work closely with the lead medical photographer, support staff and the wider senior management team, in establishing and maintaining a new Teledermoscopy service to support the Dermatology recovery plan.
Outreach clinics will be established across BCUHB for patients to be referred in for clinical photography of suspicious skin lesions, for which the post holder will participate in all aspects of acquiring high resolution images for subsequent clinical review.
Applicants must be educated to degree-level, with suitable experience working in a healthcare clinical photography setting, with higher-level qualifications / equivalent experience.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will participate in all aspects of clinical, specialist clinical, scientific and non-clinical photography, including video, reprographic and multi-media imaging.
The post holder will participate in all aspects of design and production of clinical educational material, including original concept illustration and animation.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the training and supervision ofjunior clinical photography staff.
The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring of clinical photographic workflowsand reporting issues.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
