Reports to: Head of Media

Contract: Maternity Cover – 12-month Fixed Term Contract, Full-Time

Your role @CHANEL:

This is a unique opportunity to join the Chanel UK Media team based in London, on a 12-month maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be a skilled Media generalist with broad channel experience, either in-house or within an agency.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

  • Being an in-house media expert to service the 3 Divisions of the House, driven by latest developments within the media market as well as the luxury goods sector.
  • Leading strategic, measurable and effective media campaigns for the UK market, collaborating with the wider Communications departments to support 360 campaigns.
  • Leveraging your robust organisation and project management skills to deliver optimised ways of working, and streamlined timelines for media activation.
  • An opportunity to lead and own campaign briefs, working closely with the wider Media department on annual strategic roadmaps and campaign briefings.
  • Assessing agency responses, giving insightful and constructive feedback, setting KPIs and measurement targets.
  • Pushing category boundaries and reflecting the Chanel CSR and Responsible Media agenda.
  • Ownership of all day-to-day media matters with internal local and global stakeholders.
  • An opportunity to act as a Chanel advertising ‘Brand Guardian’, operating within a united global communications vision, leveraging brand guidelines and processes.
  • Delivering best-in-class media campaigns, focused on creativity and challenging the status quo to show the Brand’s point of difference to cut-through.
  • Fostering a spirit of collaboration with media agency partners, with a focus on accountability and transparency to ensure strong working relationships are upheld.
  • Analysing and translating business challenges to ensure the media proposition meets marketing objectives.
  • Devising new media opportunities and evolutions to JBP agreements.
What you will bring to the role:

  • Extensive experience working media agency side or in-house at a brand within the luxury or fashion industry.
  • A solid understanding of leading media briefing and analysis of planning tactics.
  • Strong operational skills and a commitment to leading the day-to-day tasks of an in-house media team.
  • Showcasing your commitment to accuracy and quality in all elements of your role.
  • Digital channel experience as a must, with knowledge of performance channels; Social, PPC, Affiliates, E-Retail Media. Experience with leveraging data in Media is highly desirable.
