Job description

I am working with a fantastic engineering consultancy who are looking to recruit a senior Mechanical Engineer to lead and develop new and existing projects throughout the North West of England.

Role Overview:
  1. Lead and manage large or multiple smaller projects (both new and existing sites).
  2. Ensure safety, health, and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as client satisfaction.
  3. Collaborate with different teams to ensure designs and constructions meet time, cost, and quality goals.
  4. Handle all mechanical aspects, including machinery, vessels, and packages. This includes writing technical specs, reviewing vendor quotes, designing, surveying sites, and estimating costs.
  5. Ensure all work complies with contract requirements.
  6. Involve in project phases like Concept, FEED, EPC, and offer consultancy and proposal support.
Required Skills & Experience:
  1. Strong practical application of technical knowledge.
  2. Extensive experience in engineering and contracting for both large and small projects.
  3. Confident working independently or in a team.
  4. Experience leading teams of engineers and designers.
  5. Engineering degree and Chartered Membership of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
  6. Strong communication and presentation skills, with frequent client and partner interaction.
Desirable Skills:
  1. Hands–on experience in fabrication, construction, or commissioning.
  2. Experience in Process Plants, Hydrogen, Chemicals, Biotech, and Emerging sectors.
  3. Design Management experience.
