At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at our Rosyth site.
The role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll manage the delivery of engineering and technical activities through the application of process, domain knowledge, and experience.
Day-to-day, you’ll assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers. Ensure procedures, codes, and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities. Contribute to Project Safety Assessment process. Ensure task and project risks are communicated and managed appropriately. Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, based in Rosyth, providing hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Mechanical Engineer
Nuclear experience is not a requirement; we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds. Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project types. Demonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks across a range of complexities. Good communication skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines.
Qualifications for the Senior Mechanical Engineer
Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline, with significant demonstrable experience.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
