Maximus is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst.

The successful candidate will produce accurate project financial reporting results to develop and maintain various reports for submission to corporate finance, project management, and others.

This is a remote position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for preparation of project financial forecast including loading labor data into corporate model; validating ODC forecast and that overall forecast values are consistent with corresponding client Task Orders; and participating in reviews with management to finalize and submit forecast.
  2. Prepare any quarterly revenue adjustments required to correct revenue for impact of billed indirect rates exceeding expected actual rates.
  3. In conjunction with Financial Analyst, track costs, billing/invoice adjustments, contract-to-date expenditures for sub-contractors and temporary labor.
  4. Oversee/review monthly accruals.
  5. Prepare monthly variance analysis for management review.
  6. Provide coverage in the absence of Financial Analyst or Coordinator.
  7. Responsible for ad hoc reporting requests from Finance Director and Project Director.
  8. Senior liaison between Finance and Human Resources departments regarding forecasting and job categorization.
  9. Overall preparation of the monthly CPFF invoice to DOH, including review of supporting schedules prepared by other department staff.
  10. Support management to respond to ad hoc client requests for supporting documentation, cost allocations/analysis, etc.
  11. Prepare or oversee preparation of reports.
  12. Prepare pricing and other cost estimates, including those related to contract amendments/task orders.
  13. Participate in all internal and external audits and maintain reports and data related to and necessary for audits.
  14. Ensure the security and privacy of financial information.
  15. Responsible for adhering to established safety standards.
  16. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
  17. Occasionally lift, carry, or otherwise move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  18. Work is constantly performed in an office environment.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  20. Analyze financial data, identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and resolve discrepancies.
  21. Maintain financial models, forecast, and business process documentation.
  22. Utilize reporting and analysis to manage and prioritize a portfolio of claims processes to drive efficiency and productivity.
  23. Monitor fulfillment expenses and track financial status closely against forecast assumptions and investigate unusual variances for accuracy.
  24. Perform ongoing analysis of processes, recommending enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  25. Prepare labor and ODCs (Other Direct Charges) for client invoicing and cost reporting.
  26. Provide analytical support to program contract staff preparing corporate required reporting of accounts receivable and billed and unbilled reconciliations.
  27. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement change initiatives, as well as to ensure expected output was achieved.
  28. Able to self-manage workload, identify and remediate obstacles, assist program control staff with ad hoc financial and cost analysis as requested by program management and corporate finance.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
  2. Advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
  3. Develop solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  4. Work requires considerable judgment and initiative.
  5. Exert some influence on the overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  6. Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  7. Must be a United States Citizen.
  8. Experience maintaining financial models, forecast, and business process documentation.
  9. Must be versed in month-end close process.
  10. Experience analyzing and preparing ad hoc reports is a must.
  11. Experience with client invoicing and reconciliation.
  12. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  13. Ability to work independently.
