ROLE - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

SALARY - £40,000- £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

TYPE - Permanent

LOCATION - Warrington

My client is a specialist manufacturer of products and Engineering solutions. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in the Warrington area on a permanent basis.

Attributes Required:

1. HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar
2. 5 or more years' industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment
3. Proficient with using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design
4. Confident knowledge of a variety of mechanical processes
5. Experience working with rubber, polymer, hydraulics, and machinery
6. Experienced designing products from concept to production
7. Innovative and passionate about design
8. Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
9. Able to work well individually as well as part of a team

Responsibilities:

1. Design and development of various custom products
2. Ensuring 3D design solutions and engineering drawings are completed for all New Product Development projects
3. Getting hands on with machinery and other areas of the business
4. Using CAD for design on a day-to-day basis
5. Developing ideas from concept to production
6. Creating models/prototypes
7. Collaborating with different departments to ensure the smooth delivery of projects
8. Maintaining technical drawings and documentation
9. Providing technical guidance and support
10. Supporting product Testing, Verification & Validation
11. Supporting Junior team members and providing guidance
