Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join this engineering company based in Crawley, West Sussex.

The position of Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will be part of a strong team of 5, developing designs through to prototype and production supporting the full product life cycle.

You will be autonomous and use your experience and knowledge to shape the product. The ideal candidate will be conscientious, innovative and have a desire to become an expert in this field.

Requirements of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

1. Mechanical Engineering Degree
2. Proficient user of SolidWorks
3. Experience of Mechanical design around electronics
4. Understanding and experience of commonly used manufacturing processes including plastic injection-moulding and vac forming
5. Experience with product design lifecycle
6. Plastic and moulding techniques used for product design rather than industrial design
7. Ability to manage own workload autonomously

Benefits Package of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

1. Up to £50,000 per annum DOE
2. 8% Pension
3. 25 Days annual leave plus bank holidays
