Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Electro-mechanical & Enclosures
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £50k-£60k

Are you a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with a flair for problem-solving and development? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing company known for developing high-performance electro-mechanical solutions for use in rugged and mission-critical environments.

You'll work on the full lifecycle of mechanical design projects, from requirements capture to final product delivery. Projects range from modifying existing products to full ground-up system designs. You'll be responsible for developing robust enclosures, consoles and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop mechanical systems and assemblies for high-performance products
2. Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
3. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams
4. Support prototyping, testing, and fault-finding
5. Participate in design reviews and apply best practices

Key Requirements:

1. Previously taken a product from a concept to production
2. Solid knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, welding & coating technologies
3. Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design (Inventor/Solidworks)
4. Have an understanding of FEA & CFD
5. Previously designed products for rugged environments
