THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work on the project whilst adhering to strict deadlines and budgets, whilst providing mechanical service designs at RIBA stages on projects locally and internationally.
Recurrent meetings with entirety of design team, supporting the project director with the project delivery.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will manage their workload independently and be responsible for the design of the mechanical building systems including air conditioning, heating, natural and mechanical ventilation and building controls.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be pivotal in the company's long-term progression.
They will produce engineering designs, calculations and specifications autonomously.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will have exposure to dealing with the client.
The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work alongside a tight-knitted team, ensuring the delivery of early-stage HVAC designs, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a budget.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
Qualified to a bachelor's degree (BEng) or higher (MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services.
Experience with undertaking HVAC designs, with a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in various complex projects within a consultancy is essential.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have experience of designing into Revit MEP.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrate commitment to supporting the professional development of less experienced staff, by effective mentoring and coaching of less experienced staff.
No prior Data Centre experience.
