I'm currently partnering with a well–established and growing building services consultancy to find a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical design professional looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values quality, collaboration, and long–term client relationships.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading mechanical design work across multiple projects from concept to completion

• Designing HVAC, plumbing, and other building services systems to current standards and client specifications

• Working closely with the electrical team, architects, and project managers to ensure integrated, efficient design

• Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their technical output

• Attending site visits, client meetings, and design reviews as needed

• Supporting the development of sustainable and energy–efficient design strategies

• Keeping up–to–date with industry standards and regulations

What They're Looking For:

• Degree–qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent experience)

• Several years' experience in mechanical design within a consultancy or contractor environment

• Strong working knowledge of UK building regulations, CIBSE guides, and relevant standards

• Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and industry–specific calculation software

• Comfortable engaging with clients and leading technical discussions

• A proactive, solution–focused mindset and a genuine passion for building services design

• Chartership or working towards it would be a bonus
