Job description

As Senior Marketing Executive, you will work with and support the Marketing Manager within the Acquisitions team, to evaluate, plan and implement marketing campaign activities to acquire new subscribers to our paywall products.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and execute conversion-driven and traffic-driven campaigns across paid (PPC & social) and owned (ad ops, brand site, email, newsletter, push notifications) channels. Working closely with internal teams to make campaigns live and optimised to the target audience.
  • Understanding of paywall technology to drive subscription growth and user engagement.
  • Strong grasp of SEO growth strategies with proven optimisation experience.
  • Measure and report on paid and owned channel performance against goals (KPIs).
  • Identify trends and insights, keywords that can be targeted to increase website traffic.
  • Growing data through upper funnel activity; newsletter promotion, competitions and sampling.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

  • Previous relevant subscription or paywall marketing experience and/or marketing qualification.
  • Experience with paywall platforms e.g. Piano, Kiosk.
  • Experience of driving traffic through content marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to manage competing projects under time pressure.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience of working collaboratively with brand teams and across other departments.
  • Analytical, numerate and commercially aware with the ability to extract insights from performance data.
  • Understand sub metrics that feed into new customer growth across our marketing channels and performance tracking against these.
  • Good understanding of creating UTM tracking and monitoring results in Google Analytics and Looker Studio.
  • Understand the importance of results analysis in planning new campaigns.
