The energy system will continue to change rapidly and fundamentally on the path to net zero in 2050. National Grid is at the heart of these changes, which poses strategic questions for us as a business and for the wider sector. We need to move at pace and reform our energy system – to deliver energy security, to tackle climate change and to protect our people. We are looking for a proactive, knowledgeable energy market analyst, preferably with strong energy demand knowledge around heat pump, EVs and data centre for example. As a senior analyst within the Market Analytics team, you will be part of a team that navigates future pathways for National Grid by conducting in-depth energy market analyses, modelling scenarios, quantifying risks and opportunities for National Grid. The team combines the latest market intelligence, deep energy sector expertise and sophisticated modelling tools to provide insights that matter right across the business. We provide a trusted view on energy markets outlook and share insights that help the business to make informed commercial and strategic decisions.
National Grid is hiring a Senior Market Analyst for our Group Strategy, Innovation and Market Analytics (SIMA) team. This is a hybrid role based in either our Warwick or London office.
A competitive salary between £60,000 - £70,000 – dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.

We celebrate the difference people can bring into our organisation, and welcome and encourage applicants with diverse experiences and backgrounds, and offer flexible and tailored support, at home and in the office.
Our goal is to drive, develop and operate our business in a way that results in a more inclusive culture. All employment is decided on the basis of qualifications, the innovation from diverse teams & perspectives and business need. We are committed to building a workforce so we can represent the communities we serve and have a working environment in which each individual feels valued, respected, fairly treated, and able to reach their full potential.
