We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading Engineering business based in Fareham.

Introduction:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be a key part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, with responsibility for manufacturing processes and facility planning, new product introduction (NPI), and continuous improvement (CI).

This position would suit a Manufacturing Engineer who has experience in working closely with product design, quality engineers, and production teams to develop manufacturing feasible designs and plan and implement processes and equipment into production. Ideally, experienced in a machine-based, low to mid-volume production environment, although engineers who have worked within a high-volume environment will be considered.

Main Responsibilities Include:

1. Managing the NPI process for Manufacturing
2. Commissioning machines
3. SOP creation
4. Risk assessments
5. Planning and implementation of production systems, processes, and equipment
6. Capacity planning
7. Cost planning, analysis, and reporting
8. Using LEAN principles and Continuous Improvement
9. Work closely with the internal teams to provide a streamlined process

Ideal Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

1. Experience in NPI, commissioning machines, SOP creation, risk assessment, and working in multidisciplinary teams
2. Ideally educated with a Mechanical or Manufacturing/Production Engineering Degree or HND
3. A hands-on approach to Manufacturing Engineering support to production, willingness to contribute as an ME alongside the team
4. Competent in MS Office - PPT, Outlook, Excel, Teams etc.
5. Knowledgeable about Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures; experienced in Risk Assessments and COSHH

Salary Hours and Bonus:
Competitive salary - will be discussed on application and fully enclosed package,
40 hours per week
