Role Summary

We have an opening for a Senior Manager to join our Strategy and Operations team for our Global Transactions (GT) practice. This is a key role for someone to work closely with senior stakeholders across geographies and across multiple business lines within GT, supporting on operational matters and helping to drive strategic initiatives. You'll partner with Business Line Leaders to develop and execute business strategies, improve operational efficiency, and support on high-value initiatives. Your role will involve strategic, operational, and people-focused responsibilities, including partner and counsel investments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Line Leaders and Marketing & Business Development to draft and execute business plans, ensuring alignment with overall firm strategy.
  • Advise Business Line Leaders on key business and practice group management matters, offering insights to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of business line meetings, events, and conferences, including content creation and event management.
  • Support the annual partner business planning process, reviewing financial data and preparing Business Line Leaders for partner meetings.
  • Manage partner and counsel lateral hiring and internal promotions, drafting/editing business needs cases, with a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders, providing guidance and ensuring seamless integration.
  • Support partner equity matters, including drafting papers for committee approvals.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Finance, HR, and other functions to provide analysis and insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partner with Marketing & Business Development and other internal teams on business line priorities, strategy, initiatives, and market profile.
  • Collaborate with HR on people-related workstreams.
  • Work with the Client Delivery Group to drive global innovation and technology solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in an international professional services environment, preferably within the legal sector.
  • Strong understanding of drivers of practice group performance.
  • Experience in supporting strategic business planning and working closely with senior leadership.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present information with confidence and credibility.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships and influence across seniority levels.
  • Able to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong technical (including drafting) and analytical abilities with excellent commercial awareness.
  • Able to multi-task, work under pressure, and deliver to tight deadlines.
