Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to recruit a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to work on a major new build public sector project in Scotland. This is a full-time permanent position.

This is a large scale MEP package, circa £180 million in value, which requires an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can lead the job forward, manage the nominated sub-contractor as well as oversee junior members of staff.

Your duties will include:

• Report to MEP Commercial Manager
• Managing costs and developing projects cost plans
• Carrying out commercial activities relating to projects
• Working with the Project Manager to ensure full understanding of all commercial matters
• Liaising with design and operational teams throughout the full project lifecycle
• Producing valuations and commercial reports, as well as identifying variations
• Participating in project and company meetings.

What do you need to apply?

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
• Detailed knowledge of commercial management of projects
• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the M&E sector is desirable; however, general construction experience will be considered
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with all members of the project delivery team
• Meticulous attention to detail
