Senior Employment Legal Counsel | 8+ PQE | International Law Firm | Birmingham

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Employment Law Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in-house counsel team, focusing on employment and partnership issues. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality legal advice on complex matters, both in the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will engage with senior leadership and be involved in strategic decisions, while also ensuring effective risk management and compliance across the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead on employment and partnership matters, including disputes and compliance.
2. Involved in advisory work for the partnership and advise on grievances, investigations, terminations, whistleblowing, restrictive covenants, disputes, litigation, arbitration, mediation, and regulatory compliance.
3. Project work with the wider in-house counsel team.
4. Collaborate with legal and business teams to mitigate legal risks.
5. Develop relationships with partners and stakeholders, offering innovative solutions.

About You:

1. Minimum 8 years' PQE advising and representing large organisations on employment and partnership matters, in both contentious and non-contentious settings.
2. Strong analytical and communication skills, with a client service orientation.
3. Proven experience in a global or international context is essential.
4. Regulatory experience would be beneficial but not essential.
