It has become a global sensation across 50 markets (and growing), with over 2,300 employees globally who are part of the Dream Team making the magic happen.

Today, Charlotte Tilbury Beauty is a truly global business, delivering market-leading growth, innovative retail and product launches fuelled by industry-leading tech — all with an internal culture of embracing challenges, disruptive thinking, winning together, and sharing the magic. The energy behind the brand is infectious, and as we grow, we are always looking for extraordinary talent who want to be part of our success and help drive our limitless ambitions.

About the role

As Senior Legal Counsel for Charlotte Tilbury Beauty, you will report directly to the Director of Legal (Commercial & IP) and have responsibility for advising our international business on legal and regulatory matters. You will be expected to support the Director of Legal (Commercial & IP) and the wider Legal Team in the day-to-day running of the Legal Department, delivering to the global business the very highest standards of legal advice and regulatory compliance whilst supporting the business with its international growth.

You will be the primary advisor to a number of international General Managers to support market expansion and new marketing launches. This will include working on new retail and distribution agreements, leases, and a wide range of commercial contracts such as store design, marketing, and PR agreements. You will take the lead on any new company incorporations required by the Charlotte Tilbury Beauty group globally, working closely with colleagues in Finance, Tax, and Commercial. You will also be required to directly support the Chief Legal Officer, at times, with discrete corporate matters and projects. Candidates should note that day-to-day company secretarial work is managed by the team’s Head of Governance and Company Secretarial.

The role would suit candidates with experience of both corporate and commercial work, coming straight from a leading national or international law firm. However, experience of working in-house for an international retail business is highly desirable. You will have at least eight years’ post-qualification experience and have trained at a leading national private practice or international firm. You will need to be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and at pace, demonstrating a commercial and practical approach in dealing with a variety of legal issues across multiple geographical locations and legal systems. Personable, approachable, and with excellent communication skills, you must build successful relationships with colleagues and challenge and influence across all levels within the business.
