Job Title: Senior/Lead Instrument Engineer

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Instrument Engineer to join a leading UK-based company working on cutting-edge projects in the Oil & Gas, Hydrogen, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) sectors. If you are an experienced Instrument Engineer ready to elevate your career and work on innovative projects, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Process Control & Safety Systems: Lead the design, maintenance, and optimization of process control and safety systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with project objectives.
  2. Collaboration with Engineering: Work closely with the Engineering Department to plan, review, and execute tasks aimed at reducing project backlog and improving project delivery timelines.
  3. Plant Enhancements: Identify opportunities for plant improvements and develop detailed project scopes and timelines for effective execution.
  4. Safety Systems Design: Lead the design and integration of new safety systems as part of capital projects to enhance plant safety and operational efficiency.
  5. SIS & Control System Upgrades: Take ownership of the specification, testing, and commissioning of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and control system upgrades.
  6. Documentation & Reporting: Deliver critical documentation such as SIL verification calculations, SIL reports, and Safety Requirement Specifications to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  2. Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with a deep understanding of operational processes and system requirements.
  3. Strong knowledge of engineering practices related to process control and safety systems.
  4. Proven experience in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and control system integration for capital projects.
