Job description

Location: Sheffield (City Centre)

Senior Landscape Architects / Landscape Planners – Min. 2-3 years+ experience

Overview

We are looking for passionate and conscientious Senior or above Landscape Architects who have a particular interest in landscape planning and design to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in Sheffield. This is a great time to join CSA Environmental as it moves into its next chapter of growth and provides a unique opportunity for a talented individual looking to take the next step in their career and help shape the growth of our new Sheffield Studio in support of the Studio Lead.

You will have the opportunity to work alongside Landscape Architects, Ecologists, Masterplanners and Heritage Consultants in our team of over 70 professionals located across five regional offices, to facilitate beautiful placemaking which benefits communities and supports nature recovery. You will work on projects ranging from mixed used developments, renewable energy projects, to rewilding proposals in the Scottish Highlands and designing new gardens villages. Delivering positive outcomes for people, places and nature through good design is at the core of what we do at CSA.

About You

As well as a strong eye for design, you will need to have a good knowledge of landscape and visual assessment work, preferably with some experience of EIA development, and the desire to help create attractive and sustainable new developments. You should:

  1. Have excellent written English and verbal communication skills;
  2. Be well organised, able to work collaboratively within our team of experienced Landscape Architects;
  3. Be able to manage a varied workload with support, taking the lead on key projects;
  4. Hard-working and willing to take on new challenges;
  5. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD;
  6. Ideally hold Chartered status (CMLI) with the Landscape Institute (but if you don’t we will help you get there with full support and mentoring on the Pathway to Chartership); and
  7. Hold a full, clean UK driving license.

What We Offer

The position will be based in our vibrant city centre Sheffield Studio (located a short walk from both the station and the city centre). A healthy work-life balance is very important to us and we seek to provide a supportive, friendly and attractive place to work. In addition, we offer an exciting benefits package, including:

  1. Flexible working around core hours;
  2. Competitive salary relative to your level of experience;
  3. Enhanced annual leave allowance with option to purchase more;
  4. Annual profit related and performance-based bonus scheme;
  5. Commitment to continued professional development, including a generous training allowance for external training courses targeted at your areas of interest and development;
  6. Mobile phone allowance;
  7. Company pension contribution, which increases with length of service;
  8. Paid overtime;
  9. Employee Assistance Programme and a team of Mental Health First Aiders and Responders;
  10. Paid Landscape Institute subscription fees;
  11. Cycle scheme and gym discounts;
  12. Volunteering days, annual staff trip/weekend and funded team social events.
