Job Introduction

Main Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Assistant Editor (Journalism & Digital Growth), you will use data to drive key editorial decision making and story commissioning.
  • Develop expertise in SEO and audience analytics to support journalism and maximize audience across digital platforms.
  • Combine a strategic approach to planned Sport content, as well as being reactive to live audience trends.
  • Drive digital growth by collaborating with audience teams across the BBC.

Are you the right candidate?

The successful candidate must have:

  • First class Sport News judgement, including editorial compliance of multi-platform content based on substantial sport journalism experience.
  • Strong experience of written Sport content and the factors impacting audience performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and a great team worker, sharing best practices between teams.
  • Direct experience of issues affecting diverse communities in Sport.
  • An in-depth knowledge and passion for Wales and Welsh Sport.
