Job Title: Senior Java Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Location: London

Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President

You will join a high performing technology team in London responsible for a number of platforms that enable the firm to clear and settle trades across a variety of asset classes. You will be part of a multi-year programme of change in which the existing legacy platforms will be eliminated and gradually replaced by new cross product Clearing and Settlements services.

We are seeking to extend our high-quality software engineering capability whose focus will be on building out this future state using a modern, high performance, service based framework which will be deployed into our private cloud infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for full ownership of the QA process as part of a development team working on transformation projects within the settlements space.
• You will be responsible for defining test strategies within this team.
• You will have full responsibility for testing transformational change and coordinating sign off.
• You will work across multiple development teams to organize implementation of test strategy.
• You will have responsibility for coordination and management of test environments.

Your skills and experience

• Proficient in Java and expert in Java based testing frameworks.
• Experience in working within development teams using Java based testing strategies.
• Experienced in managing QA for large projects.
• Previous experience in managing QA for large projects involving multiple teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Experienced in communicating with business, management and technical audiences.
• Ability to communicate strategies and ideas both verbally and written.
