About this opportunity

The Identity & Authentication Platform delivers capabilities to enable LBG business areas secure client and digital authentication and identity across all their digital channels. The Platform delivers core products including Identity & Authentication as a Service, giving end-to-end packaged services of several components for self-serve consumption.

In this role, you'll work with modern technologies, including Swift, SPM, iOS frameworks, and cloud-based infrastructures, to build high-quality authentication solutions.

You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing secure and reusable components, including an Authentication SDK, to enable seamless integration into a wide range of iOS applications.

You'll ensure high security and performance standards, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to delivering exceptional user experiences for both developers and end users.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain core iOS libraries, frameworks, and tools used across the company’s iOS applications.
2. Development of scalable, reliable, and efficient code that enables the platform to evolve and support new features.
3. Platform Optimization & Performance: Analyse and optimize performance for the iOS platform to ensure low memory usage, high responsiveness, and smooth user experiences.
4. Conduct rigorous code and design reviews, ensuring high standards in terms of code quality, maintainability, and performance.
5. Tooling & Infrastructure: Build and maintain internal tooling, libraries, and components that improve developer productivity and application quality.
6. Work with CI/CD pipelines to streamline testing, debugging, and deployment processes, ensuring fast and reliable releases.
7. Stay current with the latest iOS SDK, tools, and industry trends; evaluate and integrate new technologies as appropriate to enhance the platform.
8. Experiment with and promote innovative solutions to improve user experience and overall app quality on iOS devices.

What you’ll need

1. Professional hands-on experience and working knowledge in designing a mobile experience for variable screen sizes in variable versions of iOS phones and tablets.
2. Proficiency in Swift, as well as a strong knowledge in UIKit and SwiftUI.
3. Solid understanding of software architecture (MVVM), design patterns and best practices.
4. Unit, UI and Snapshot Testing.
5. Creating and managing frameworks in a modular codebase.
