Job description

As a Senior iOS engineer at Depop, you'll work in one of our Product teams to add new functionality as well as improve existing features through a data-driven A/B testing workflow.

You will be working in Swift, alongside Backend and other iOS Engineers, leveraging our Mobile Continuous Integration pipeline, with Unit and Integration Testing built in, to iterate our iOS application used by millions of users.

You will work in a small multidisciplinary product team that is supported by a much wider community of Depop iOS developers, insights teams, product managers, and platform engineers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the team to deliver weekly features/upgrades.
  2. Take full ownership of the components the team ships to the iOS app. Monitor and resolve issues.
  3. Support the A/B testing workflow and collaborate with the insights team to ensure high quality.
  4. Work closely with the design, product management, and backend teams to ensure that new features are implemented efficiently and effectively.
  5. Refactor existing code to leverage the latest developments in the iOS framework.
  6. Communicate any engineering challenges faced when supporting a wide range of devices.

Qualifications:

  1. Commercial experience using Swift or Objective-C, with real exposure to different platforms and OS versions.
  2. Experience working within a Mobile Continuous Integration framework.
  3. Experience with Unit (XCTest) and Integration Testing.
  4. Experience in consuming a RESTful API.
  5. Prior experience mentoring junior developers.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with the VIPER architecture.
  2. Experience with A/B testing and solving complex experiments.
