We are seeking a Senior Investment Specialist to join our Aramco Ventures organization. Aramco Ventures is the venture capital arm of Aramco, with three programs managing five funds totaling approximately $7 billion in Assets Under Management.
Overview
Your primary role is to identify, evaluate, and manage late-stage investment opportunities within the firm’s portfolio. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess risks, develop financial models, and lead negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Strategy and Sourcing:
- Develop and execute investment strategies for late-stage investments.
- Identify and source high-potential investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts, entrepreneurs, and other venture capital firms.
- Due Diligence and Evaluation:
- Lead due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, market research, and competitive analysis.
- Evaluate business models, growth potential, and risk factors of prospective investments, and present findings to the Investment Committee.
- Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies.
- Monitor performance and assist in developing and executing growth strategies.
- Represent the firm on the boards of portfolio companies as needed.
- Work with relevant Aramco entities to explore JV or acquisition opportunities of existing strategic Aramco Ventures portfolio companies.
- Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and represent Aramco Venture in portfolio companies’ board meetings.
- Contribute thought leadership through articles, panels, and other public forums.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to portfolio company executives and boards.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and industry experts.
Qualifications
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within venture capital, private equity, or high-growth technology companies.
You must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of driving operational improvements and value creation.
You should have experience in executive-level advisory roles and board governance.
You must be a strategic thinker with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record in venture capital or private equity.
You should also have a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
