Hoist Finance is looking for a Senior Investment Analyst in the Portfolio Management Team.

The role

As a Senior Investment Analyst at Hoist Finance, your job objective is to support the portfolio management process including executing and developing the revaluation process across Hoist markets for Unsecured assets. You will also maintain and further develop the already established IC feedback loop process and challenge local operations on performance and delivery of original plan as well as provide insights on Portfolio Profitability.

Placement for the role is in either: Duisburg, Manchester, Paris or Stockholm. EU work-permit is Required.

Main responsibilities

  1. Build a deep understanding of portfolios acquired across all markets and their underlying investment cases.
  2. Review portfolio performance and profitability while contributing to operational improvements via data analytics; challenge local operations on delivery of underlying investment cases for both the revaluation and future underwriting.
  3. Support to implement and execute Unsecured revaluation processes across all Hoist markets.
  4. Develop comprehensive understanding of valuation techniques & analysis of Unsecured NPL Portfolios.
  5. Present revaluations and analysis to management.
  6. Support in Divestment process of Unsecured assets aimed at optimising Group results.
  7. Management of relationships with key business units (incl. Operations, Finance, Investments, etc.); work with local teams to ensure an integrated approach to revaluation process.
  8. Support in the preparation of materials for our internal Revaluation Committee and Board Revaluation Committees.
  9. Development of forecast models for NPL portfolios.

Desired skills and experience

  1. Minimum of five years of analytical experience in investment, finance, or operations; an academic degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent.
  2. Preferably possesses knowledge and commercial awareness of Non-Performing Loan (NPL) markets, with an understanding of key commercial factors in debt management and their impact on business outcomes.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal; highly organized, analytical.
  4. Strong quantitative abilities with a demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and extracting insights from large datasets; proven analytical and modeling skills.
  5. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; technical expertise in software such as SQL, Alteryx, R, or other coding languages preferred.
  6. Open-minded, resilient under pressure, critically minded, independent, and upholds a high level of integrity.
  7. Experience working in a large, dynamic, and international organization.
  8. Fluency in English is required.
