Job description

Senior Information Security Analyst, Head Office - IT - Leicester

Are you passionate about information security and ensuring that processes align with industry standards? Sytner Group are currently seeking a Senior Information Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to discover, monitor and improve processes within our IT department and wider business to ensure compliance with information security standards. Your expertise and passion will be instrumental in developing standards documents providing guidance to the teams responsible for various internal processes, and ensuring those standards are adhered to.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with Information Security colleagues to develop policies and standards that form the basis of the company’s Information Security programme.
  2. Monitor and audit existing processes to ensure ongoing compliance with security standards.
  3. Suggest revisions and improvements to existing standards to enhance their applicability and effectiveness.
  4. Identify processes, primarily within the IT department but also across the broader organisation, that should adhere to information security standards.
  5. Assist with management and maintenance of the information security technology stack.
  6. Work closely with internal application development teams to integrate security requirements into their processes.
  7. Provide recommendations and solutions to address any identified vulnerabilities or non-compliance issues.
  8. Investigate and respond to security incidents, implementing necessary remediation measures.
  9. Stay updated on emerging information security trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Experience with information security and GRC, particularly with regard to the development of new policies.
  2. Experience with industry frameworks such as Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001 would be beneficial.
  3. Solid experience working in an IT department, such as in service desk, SOC or network/infrastructure roles.
  4. Familiarity with information security principles and best practices.
  5. Ability to understand and interpret technical processes, identify security risks and map them to information security requirements.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail, as well as an understanding of security weaknesses/vulnerabilities and how they could be exploited.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  8. Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  9. A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.

This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) based primarily at our Leicester head office, but hybrid/remote working can also be considered for the right candidate.
