What to expect...

We are seeking a Senior Industrial Designer to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a highly creative and experienced designer who excels in transforming ideas into tangible, market-ready products. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industrial design principles, user experience, materials, and manufacturing processes. As a senior designer, you will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior designers, and working closely with clients and stakeholders. We expect a level of autonomy leading projects and reporting to directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final production.
• Develop innovative and visually compelling design concepts that align with client objectives.
• Conduct market and user research to inform design decisions and ensure optimal user experience.
• Create detailed sketches, 3D models, and prototypes to visualise design solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and functionality.
• Present design concepts to clients and internal teams, articulating the vision and design rationale.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices.
• Mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth.

What you need...

Must be eligible to work in the UK.
7+ years of experience in industrial design, preferably in a consultancy or agency environment.
We are a strong team with a variety of skillsets. In order to merge seamlessly into the fast paced environment, we ask you have a brilliant portfolio showing the following skills:

Core knowledge & skills:

• Sketching
• High level of critical thinking & strategy
• Strong 3D CAD skills including surfacing
• High fidelity rendering & visualisation skills
• 2D Presentations
• Prototyping
• In-depth materials & manufacturing process knowledge
• DFM experience of taking a product all the way through to market
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

Software must haves:

• Solidworks
• Keyshot
• Adobe Illustrator
• Various 3D Printing Software

Desirable but non-essentials software:

• Rhino
• 3DS Max
• Cinema 4D

Qualifications.

Bachelors degree in Industrial Design or related field. Other relevant qualifications beneficial but non-essential.
