At Coinbase, our mission is to hire the best people. We’re a group of hard-working overachievers focused on building the future of finance and Web3 for our users globally, whether they’re trading, storing, staking, or using crypto.

We look for candidates who will thrive in our environment, where we default to trust, embrace feedback, and disrupt ourselves. We expect all employees to commit to their work and seek people who are excited to learn about and live crypto. We’re a remote-first company looking to hire the best talent worldwide.

Ready to #LiveCrypto? Who you are:

  • You’ve got positive energy and are optimistic about the future.
  • You’re eager to learn and want to be a pro in bleeding-edge tech like DeFi, NFTs, DAOs, and Web3.
  • You appreciate direct communication and are an active communicator and listener.
  • You can pivot on the fly as crypto is constantly evolving.
  • You have a “can do” attitude and take responsibility for achieving our mission.
  • You want to be part of a winning team and embrace being pushed out of your comfort zone.

The Senior HR Business Partner will support regional leaders and various functional teams across EMEA, playing a vital role in ensuring the teams they partner with are thriving and executing people programs at scale. You will work closely with functional and regional leaders on engagement, org health, performance management, employee development, diversity, and policy. You’ll provide proactive guidance and counsel and will have the opportunity to improve and impact every employee's experience at Coinbase.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Work with stakeholders to spearhead people programs and strategies that enhance our culture.
  • Partner with regional and functional leaders on org design, planning, and people strategies at scale.
  • Provide coaching/guidance on skill & professional development, career pathing, change management, and sensitive people situations.
  • Identify and advise leaders on the development needs of their teams.
  • Approach people matters with an eye toward compliance and risk reduction.
  • Analyze trends & use data to develop insights and influence change.
  • Build excellent working relationships across the business and our People Team COEs.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant consulting and HR experience.
  • Ability to create, improve, and execute on people processes and programs.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills with capability to navigate nuanced situations.
  • Data driven decision making experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in clear communication and escalation methods.
  • Comfortable with feedback conversations at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Motivation to problem solve in an ambiguous environment.
  • Reputation for integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience working for US-headquartered organizations with regulated international operations.
  • Ability to balance a globally consistent approach with local flexibility.
  • Experience working in highly matrixed environments.
