Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join a reputable civils and groundworks contractor as Senior Health, Safety & Environmental Manager. They need you to be proactive in managing processes and driving compliance across their operations. Due to the nature of their projects, you must be well-versed in civil engineering hazards/projects.

Reporting into the board you will be:

  1. Carrying out in-depth safety/accident investigations to a high standard
  2. Attending senior health and safety meetings to advise both management and external clients
  3. Reviewing, improving and approving Health and Safety plans
  4. Monitoring and reporting Health and Safety performance
  5. Managing CDM across all schemes, including submission of F10s and compilation of CPPs
  6. Managing sub-contractors and their performance whilst coaching a Health & Safety ethos out on-site

You will be well-versed in coaching and mentoring personnel, controlling their safety output on-site and ensuring compliance across a diverse and challenging risk portfolio. You will be:

  1. An excellent communicator, comfortable building relationships from site to board level
  2. H&S Diploma-qualified
  3. Well-versed in CDM 2015 and compilation of CPPs and F10s
  4. Experienced in civil engineering hazards, particularly groundworks and utilities (ESSENTIAL)
  5. Well-versed in implementation and maintenance of management systems
