About the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner (Senior HRBP) reports to the Head of HR, Europe and primarily supports the Leeds office whilst also providing support to the broader Europe region as required. Working closely with business leaders and line managers on driving business priorities, this role will balance operational, strategic and project work with the emerging and immediate needs of the business. The Senior HRBP will collaborate with the wider global HR team to continually review and improve processes and ways of working.
- Partner with managers to align HR strategy to business strategy
- Partner with HR team to implement efficient business-oriented solutions that meet the distinctive challenges and needs of the business
- Work closely with the global HR leadership team on the development of and implementation of large-scale change projects
- Support senior business leaders and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues, providing expert advice in compliance with legal requirements
- Design and lead initiatives to improve competence and capability of talent across the firm
- Contribute to the business strategy and help senior leaders build their people capability through the identification of a talent pipeline and succession plans
- Support and/or lead change management programmes within HR and across business units
- Coach business leaders by being their trusted advisor regarding people management and development whilst guiding them in delivering key strategic HR initiatives
- Actively participate in annual budget planning/workforce forecasting process with business managers
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition Specialists to manage recruitment (including internal transfers and promotions) for assigned business units aligning with the recruitment strategy
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and leaders
- Mitigate organisational risk through HR process compliance
- Act in accordance with legal, regulatory and internal risk management requirements, including complying with policies and procedures
- Manage sensitive and confidential matters and protect the security of information, data and files
- Support the HR team to ensure all employee related support materials are up to date and legislatively compliant e.g. letter templates, policy guides and supportive documents
- Assist to facilitate the internal and external audit process
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
- Willingness to travel to Leeds on a regular basis (approx. 40%) with potential for additional travel to Dublin, Luxembourg and Jersey if required
- Prior Senior Business Partnering experience in a law firm or professional services environment
- Builds strong trusted stakeholder relationships, consults and collaborates easily and has an ability to progress and guide outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication and will have in-depth employee relations experience with a strong working knowledge of local employment laws
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to incorporate HR data and metrics and analysis into meaningful HR insights with ability to assimilate information quickly and communicate key messages
- Effective problem solving skills and be able to remain calm and polite in demanding situations
- Time management skills and the ability to multi-task are essential
