Job description

Experience: At least 4 years' experience in an HR advisory role. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment required.

Great opportunity to provide an efficient, responsive, high-quality, risk-aware HR advisory service, based in Southampton/Jersey/Guernsey. Must have the right to work in the jurisdiction.

The postholder will:

  1. Advise employees and managers on HR policies in accordance with local legislation and Employee Handbook.
  2. Provide support on significant annual HR processes such as the Annual Salary Review and bonus recommendations.
  3. Facilitate secondments, transfers, student schemes, and training programmes.
  4. Conduct weekly HR induction sessions for new joiners and employee exit interviews.
  5. Schedule employee retirement discussions.
  6. Help build retention strategy.
  7. Continually seek process improvements.
  8. Manage high absence if necessary.
  9. Hold parental leave discussions.

The successful candidate will have:

  1. At least 4 years' experience in an HR advisory role.
  2. Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  3. Ideally fully CIPD qualified.
  4. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and multitask.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills across all levels.
  6. Self-starter with initiative and confidence.
  7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
