Job description

The successful post holder will deliver high quality care in accordance with guidance given and work delegated by registered nurses. The post holder will ensure a person centred approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy. You will provide assistance within a variety of settings as required, e.g. patient’s home, treatment room.

What we'll need you to bring

  • SVQ III in healthcare, or working towards, or equivalent experience working within a caring environment / role.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary / agency team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out assigned patient care tasks effectively within a busy environment.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • To actively participate in the Personal Development Plan process to fulfil the requirements of continuing professional development.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Flexibility in working practice.
  • Car driver with a full, valid UK / EU / EEA licence.

Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK / EU / EEA licence.

It would be great if you also have:

  • Previous experience working in community health setting.
  • Previous experience of palliative and end of life care.

Contract type: Permanent

Full time: 37 hours

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Airdrie District Nurse / LTC Team within Airdrie Community Health Centre. The working pattern for this role will be confirmed by the hiring manager.
