Senior Health and Safety Manager

London (site-based role 4 days/week)

Circa £90,000 + Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's largest property developers to identify a new Senior Health and Safety Manager. The organisation has a multimillion-pound revenue stream and specialises across a wide variety of commercial and residential property.

This role will report directly to the Head of Health and Safety for the business, and work with key internal and external stakeholders across the business, to raise the level of health and safety performance across a large property portfolio.

Responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Manager will include:

1. Engaging with key stakeholders on site location to drive a positive health and safety culture
2. Assessment of the health and safety systems to ensure that it reflects best practice
3. Working closely with local partners and teams, as well as external specialist consultants, across the property portfolio
4. Leading the wider team in the development and delivery of the strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function
5. Identifying key areas to implement direct improvements, enhancing the site's commercial capabilities and market interest
6. Paying particular attention to the requirements of the building safety strategy

The successful Senior Health and Safety Manager will have:

1. NEBOSH diploma (or equivalent) and working towards CMIOSH as a minimum
2. Proven experience in a similar health and safety role driving changes across a large organisation within commercial or residential real estate
3. Experience influencing and engaging at all levels, ideally at Board-level
4. Knowledge of the Building Safety Act is key across high-rise residential buildings

This role is site-based and there is a requirement to be in London 4 days per week.
