Senior Health and Safety Construction Consultant

As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Senior Health and Safety Construction Consultant to be based at either our Leicester or Nottingham office. Joining a supportive network as part of a team, you can expect to receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development.

You can expect to become involved in projects within the commercial, education, and defence sectors amongst others. Your core duties will include:

  1. Attending project and design meetings, site meetings, completing site appraisals and risk identification
  2. Reviewing existing project and client information
  3. Providing written reports to the client and team
  4. Completing site inspections and audits
  5. Providing support to junior colleagues

About You
You will be committed to enhancing our positive working culture, by having a compassionate attitude and always treating others with respect. In order to be considered for this role, you must:

  1. Be able to work autonomously
  2. Have significant construction experience and sound knowledge of construction design, building control requirements, construction techniques and materials, fire safety in construction, temporary works, asbestos, demolition, scaffolding, working at height and lifting
  3. Have achieved a NEBOSH Construction Certificate, GradIOSH and/or IMaPS
  4. Be working towards or achieved: NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5, Design / Construction Degree

In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you to have:

  1. Achieved NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma, NVQ L5
  2. Good business acumen, knowledge of managing budgets, and business development
  3. Experience within a range of sectors
  4. Experience of supporting junior colleagues
