Reporting to and taking day to day direction from the Programme and H&S Manager. Supervise the H&S workload and provide an escalation point to the team for issue resolution. Job Responsibilities:
Lead and maintain all health and safety policies and guidance by regular review of government legislation and guidance
Support staff, across the group, with the completion of Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and COSHH Assessments for all premises and equipment and review regularly.
Undertake the completion of personal risk assessments and provide H&S inductions
Ensure all staff health & safety training is recorded / documented inclusive of any internal training, training records and ensuring skills/competency matrices are up to date.
Review emergency procedures to ensure alignment with business continuity and emergency and crisis management plans.
Undertake regular workplace inspections and audits across the Group for compliance, liaising with various departments and providing recommendations for improvement.
Manage H&S data collection and produce regular management reports as required
Support the Programme and H&S Manager to ensure that processes are created, maintained, and adhered to either locally or at Group level via the Quality Management and Group Documentation Management Systems
Required Job Skills:
IOSH Managing Safety (Desirable)
NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
Minimum of 3 years H&S experience in a similar role
Knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation
Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
Fire Marshall and H&S oversight experience
Experience in carrying out safety management inspections
