Experienced creative graphic designer wanted to lead the conceptualisation and execution of online advertising and content (graphics + video) -- overseeing the creation of engaging, immersive, on-brand and channel-appropriate assets for our audiences -- working with both in-house colleagues and external freelancers and agencies.

This is a Part Time role of three days per week on-site in Leeds - Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays

We have been a premium home décor brand and ecommerce retailer for 11 years, designing and selling beautiful fixtures and fittings. We are 30 people in Hunslet, Leeds working in an office + warehouse + photography studio environment. D&R has gained cult brand status amongst interior designers, but we are still a challenger brand needing to continuously push ourselves to understand our customers, produce great products and advertise them with impactful content.

This is where you come in…

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Creating and implementing brand guidelines and distinctive brand assets
  2. Leading and managing design projects from concept to delivery, including overseeing all design elements
  3. Reviewing the work of junior and external colleagues, providing feedback, and delegating tasks
  4. Ensuring brand consistency across all channels and internal functions
  5. Working with internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and develop concepts
  6. Presenting finalised ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders
  7. Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring only the best work is released
  8. Being an effective communicator to understand our customer's needs as well as communicating ideas to other team members
  9. Being aware of emerging technologies and their impact on design
  10. Measuring campaigns and learning from the insights they provide

Must haves:

  1. A strong eye for aesthetics and visual details
  2. Hands-on experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Express
  3. Deep knowledge and experience to challenge and, where appropriate, work beyond the brief to produce a design with greater functionality
  4. General marketing theory: in particular, the difference between Brand Building and Sales Activation activity
  5. Customer journeys and how they impact on design and messaging
  6. Naturally curious, consuming lots of different media with a broad range of interests/passions including interiors, graphic design and fashion
