Description Senior Global HR Advisor
Salary: competitive + excellent benefits
Location: Bristol (hybrid, 2/3 days in office)

Reporting to the HR Manager – Systems and Processes, the Senior Global HR Advisor will support on all HR activities, providing day to day operational and strategic support. In particular, the Senior Global HR Advisor will have involvement with and support on Talent Management, Learning & Development, Reward and Recognition, Workforce development, Employee Relations, Performance Management as well as other HR functions.

As the Senior Global HR Advisor, you will have a truly generalist role, supporting much of our operational activity and providing support on HR Strategy with an opportunity to lead on some elements.

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities • Partner with the management team to build effective relationships to enable you to proactively identify opportunities to resolve people challenges, leveraging the Global HR team where appropriate to deliver innovative solutions.
• Providing HR support and guidance, in collaboration with the Global HR Team on the full range of HR issues such as resourcing, reward, employee relations, talent, performance, engagement, internal communications, organisational development/change, and L&D.
• Supporting the HR Manager – Systems and Processes and Global HR Director on any change initiatives such as re-organisations.
• Developing new and updating current HR policies in line with business and legislative requirement.
• Supporting the management team to identify training requirements in line with Career Development Plans.
• Coaching and upskilling managers on people-related matters.
• Supporting the HR Manager – Systems and Processes on the Annual Performance and Salary review process.
• Coaching and developing the management community to grow as Leaders, enabling them to resolve employee cases through performance management, Grievances and disciplinary or conduct matters.
• Provide on-going support and mentoring to the management team, offering objective and practical solutions on all employee relations matters as necessary.
• Supporting on complex employee relations matters.
• Support the Global HR Team in creating effective ways of working with the various functions, creating data and insight led interventions.
• Manage and develop the HR system (SagePeople) to meet the dynamic requirements of SmartStream.
• Support the wider HR team with rolling out of HR initiatives such as learning and development initiatives, engagement surveys, HR system changes etc.
• Supporting the wider Global HR Team to embed initiatives such as our new Leadership Behaviours.

Key Skills

Key Skills • A good understanding of employment law
• Evidence of employee relations case handling
• Familiarity with HR Systems (Sage People) would be helpful

Qualifications

Qualifications • A degree or postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management and/or a qualified member of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development) is desirable.

Experience

Experience • HR experience within a software technology business would be advantageous, as would international experience.
• Proven experience of working in a similar position or as an HR advisor looking to take their next step.
