Senior GeoEnvironmental Engineer

Job Description

Our client, a Structural, Civil and Geoenvironmental company based in Milton Keynes, is looking for a Senior GeoEnvironmental Engineer to work from their office with hybrid working options. This opportunity would help accelerate an Engineer's career by working with a well-established team within a continuously growing environment. The position offers a competitive salary up to £52,000, as well as 25 days holiday, flexible working, healthcare, and life insurance.

Job Overview

1. Produce designs using hand calculations or design software.
2. Follow design standards including British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, and NHBC.
3. Ensure designs comply with internal QMS procedures and checking protocols.
4. Manage projects of all sizes, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
5. Contribute to proposals and develop site investigation scopes.
6. Lead site investigations from concept to completion.
7. Coordinate with professionals and contractors as needed.
8. Liaise with clients and design teams to meet project briefs, attending meetings as required.
9. Work independently on smaller projects or collaboratively on larger schemes.
10. Mentor less experienced team members.

Job Requirements

1. Completion of Degree in a relevant Engineering subject.
2. Minimum 5 years' experience working in a similar engineering consultancy.
3. Chartered geologist, Engineer, or Scientist or working towards it.
4. Proficient in the use of software such as technical design packages including SlopeW (or similar), Holebase, etc.
5. Proficient in foundation design and recommendations, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment including remediation, DQRA, etc.
6. CAT & Genny competence trained.
7. Proficient in QGIS.
8. Full driving licence and use of a car.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 (dependent on experience)
