Senior Front Office Developer - Python - Asset Management

An Investment Management firm in Central London is looking to hire a Front Office Python Developer to join their Front Office Technology team in a new permanent position working directly with Front Office Investment, Quant and Research teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Python Developer to advance their career in the Investment industry building bespoke industry-leading portfolio management and trading systems with one of the most technology-first Investment institutions.

Your Key Responsibilities will be:

• The Design, Architecture and ongoing development of in-house Portfolio Management and Trading technology
• Collaborating with Front Office desks including Portfolio Managers, Researchers and Quants to gather requirements for building new in-house Front Office technology

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• (Essential) 5+ years’ commercial experience of Software and/or Application Development using Python within the Investment Management / Investment Banking industry
• Strong proven experience of taking ownership of the Design and Architecture of large software products, whilst contributing to the software engineering of scalable systems as part of a wider team
• Previous experience working directly with, and taking requirements from Front Office teams (e.g. Quants, Traders, Portfolio Managers)
