Senior FP&A Analyst - Immediately Available, Banking £90,000 - £110,000 FTC

We need someone that is immediately available, that has good FP&A experience from an Investment Bank, Capital Markets or Equity Trading environment.

We’re recruiting for this newly created role within an established Investment Bank with growth on their mind! This is an ideal opportunity for someone to really put their stamp on an ambitious and growing business by implementing and improving high-level Financial Planning & Analysis to support the decision making of the CFO and the board.

You will work closely with the Head of FP&A and CFO, playing a key role in building a best-in-class commercial Finance function aimed at supporting the future growth and decision making of the business. You will develop and improve new systems, controls, and ways of working as well as building strong relationships with all teams across the business.

This is a truly commercial role and we need to find a candidate with genuine gravitas who can support the demands of a high-performing leadership team in a young company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and develop the 3-year forecasting and budget plan
• Implement better metrics and processes for an improved FP&A function
• Risk appetite metrics reporting and analysis
• Capital and liquidity reporting, forecasting and analysis
• Monthly management reporting (includes Financial Performance Review Pack, ALCO Pack, CFO Reports)
• Lead the building of a class-leading MI framework
• Continue to build a truly Business Partnering function across the entire Group
• Ad-hoc business case analysis and interrogation
• Commercial business partnering and ad hoc analysis to enable optimal business decision making
• Lots of ad-hoc decision support analysis and Business Partnering to senior stakeholders in the business

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 7+ years’ experience within FP&A
• Banking experience is essential
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong financial modelling skills
• Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to articulate the drivers of financial performance to business stakeholders (‘tell the story’)
• Ability to work with stakeholders to optimise performance, harness opportunities, and mitigate risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
