Your tasks and responsibilities will encompass the following, among others:

• Lead complex forensic investigations into structural failures, identifying causes and proposing remedial actions for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
• Prepare comprehensive forensic reports, documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
• Serve as an expert witness, presenting evidence and technical findings in legal proceedings and disputes.
• Develop and implement innovative methodologies and tools for forensic analysis, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of investigations.
• Conduct site inspections and structural assessments, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques to identify underlying issues.
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and industry professionals, providing expert advice and consultation on forensic structural engineering matters.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the forensic engineering team.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, research, and developments in forensic structural engineering, applying this knowledge to improve service quality and outcomes.
• Ensure all forensic investigations and reports comply with relevant standards, codes, and ethical guidelines, maintaining the highest level of professional integrity.

Qualifications & Expertise:

• Advanced degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years experience in forensic structural engineering, including conducting failure analyses and serving as an expert witness.
• Proficient in the use of forensic investigation tools and software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal standards.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex engineering concepts to non-experts.
• Proven track record of publishing research or presenting findings at industry conferences.
