We are delighted to be partnering with this world-leading insurance company that is seeking a talented Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter.

This role can be fully-home-based, although there will be occasional face-to-face team meetings required in a regional office. You are welcome to attend a regional office as much as you like!

This position has arisen as a result of the company’s impressive expansion; it is enjoying 20% year-on-year growth and is on track to double in size over the next 5 years.

Working within the specialist Financial Lines Division, you’ll be underwriting incoming new business enquiries from a wide variety of brokers throughout the UK, using your sound technical and negotiation skills to secure profitable business.

Specific duties will include, but not be limited to:

1. Underwriting large and complex renewal cases
2. Collaborating with the Claims team
3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business
4. Getting involved in interesting ad hoc projects

You must have strong experience within the Professional Indemnity arena, with candidates from a variety of specialisms (such as the Professions, Miscellaneous, Tech, Life Sciences, etc.) being considered. Excellent communication skills and a good track record of maintaining and developing relationships are essential.

This is not a ‘dead-end’ senior underwriting role. The company is extremely passionate about developing its staff, and this role has the genuine potential to progress into various areas, such as Product Line Management, General Management, Technical, Compliance, Sales, and more.
