We have an excellent senior level commercial finance opportunity for a Senior Financial Controller / Senior Finance Business Partner in the IT Services Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
IT Services is the in-house provider of information systems and equipment to the c40,000 IT users in the AtkinsRéalis Group. The primary role of the IT FP&A team is to provide timely and accurate financial analysis and support to the senior management of IT Services, to enable them to manage the Group’s global IT budget.
The role is part of a small, global team which is changing rapidly to adopt the Finance Target Operating Model and leverage the new tools becoming available through the Group’s Finance Transformation programme. The role reports to the Divisional Finance Director for IT FP&A. It will ideally be based in either Epsom or Montreal, working from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Your main responsibility will be delivering complete, accurate and timely financial information and analysis to the leaders of the IT Infrastructure and IT Security towers, and for IT Services in the Middle East region.
- You will build the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for the global IT Infrastructure and IT Security towers, and for IT Services in the Middle East region this will entail working closely with the directors responsible for each area and their delegated “Level 2 budget holders” to ensure all roles and contracts are reflected and to understand the key drivers of change. You will use standardised excel models to create, analyse and review the projections, and to load them to EPM.
- You will prepare monthly management accounts, including analysing variances, posting/release of accruals and corrections, producing explanations and commentaries for budget holders and maintaining a view to the current quarter end.
- You will prepare the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts for global IT Services capex additions, depreciation and cash flow. Each month, you will provide a high-level variance analysis of actuals to budget and latest forecast.
- You will adopt a flexible approach to providing ad hoc finance support to the Divisional Finance Director, IT budget holders, and other members of the IT FP&A team, including financial analysis, modelling, reporting and presentations as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
The applicant should be a resourceful, confident and self-motivated professional with the following attributes and experience:
- Fully qualified ACA/CIMA or equivalent with experience of working in a similar role in a large global organisation.
- Experience in Financial Planning and Analysis and demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to business partners that is insightful, timely and responsive.
- Excellent Excel skills and experience working with financial IT systems. ePBCS, FCCS and ERP-Oracle experience is preferable.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills with ability to produce clear and insightful reports and presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders, working with multiple systems and in multiple locations, and forming excellent working relationships.
